Over 2.83 Lakh Health Camps Conducted under PM Modi's Latest Program
These camps have drawn more than 76 lakh citizens, many accessing critical health services for the first time.
The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), an initiative by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), has witnessed nationwide participation since its launch on 17th September 2025.
Launched on PM Modi's birthday, the initiative aims at strengthening healthcare services for women and children across India, with a focus on improving access, quality care, and awareness.
As per the official data, as of 20 September, over 2.83 lakh health camps, both screening and speciality camps, have been organised across the country. These camps have drawn more than 76 lakh citizens, many accessing critical health services.
State-wise Participation
Certain remarkable highlights of the campaign include extensive screening and preventive care services across the country.
Over 37 lakh citizens were screened for hypertension and 35 lakh for diabetes, addressing the growing burden of lifestyle diseases. Cancer screening was another major focus, with more than 9 lakh women screened for breast cancer, over 4.7 lakh for cervical cancer, and more than 16 lakh individuals for oral cancer.
Also, maternity care and child health services were another major highlight child with 18 lakh antenatal check-ups conducted and over 51 lakh children receiving life-saving vaccines. Anaemia detection was prioritized, with more than 15 lakh citizens screened, alongside widespread nutrition counselling sessions that reached lakhs of families
The drive also covered TB screening for over 22 lakh citizens and sickle cell disease screening for 2.3 lakh individuals.
Further, it was reported that the campaign registered more than 1.6 lakh blood donors and facilitated the issuance of 4.7 lakh new Ayushman Bharat/PM-JAY cards, further strengthening access to healthcare.
The initiative is being driven by a wide network of healthcare institutions.
Alongside NHM health camps, including Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, premier institutes such as AIIMS, other Institutes of National Importance (INIs), tertiary care hospitals, medical colleges, and private healthcare providers have actively participated.

The campaign Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan is being celebrated as a true Jan Andolan (people’s movement) across states and Union Territories, with strong community participation with notable highlights which include:
Delhi, where mega health camps were organised at Safdarjung Hospital, CGHS RK Puram, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, offered TB, NCD, mental health, and maternal health screening. In Gujarat, special camps were conducted in Dahod, Kutch, and Navsari, focused on cancer screening and NCD care, benefitting over 42,000 women.
Also, Jammu & Kashmir saw large community participation in mega health camps held in Srinagar and RS Pura under Sewa Pakhwada.
In the Northeast, the Abhiyaan reached remote tribal communities from Papum Pare in Arunachal Pradesh to Imphal in Manipur with free check-ups and awareness drives. Goa and Maharashtra also organised rallies, screening camps, and blood donation drives with strong community involvement, while Bihar and Uttar Pradesh provided thousands of citizens with NCD screenings and maternal health services at district hospitals and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Even remote areas like Lingshed village in Ladakh benefitted from general consultations, cataract screening, and menstrual hygiene awareness sessions.
The Ministry, in its official press release, has commended the collaborative efforts of state governments, healthcare workers, and community organisations for making the Abhiyaan a success. With activities continuing until 2 October 2025, the initiative is expected to reach millions more, advancing the vision of “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” healthy women, empowered families, and a stronger nation.
