MantraM Surgical Robot Yatra Reaches Lucknow Hospitals
The MantraM unit has been designed to bring advanced robotic surgical technology directly to hospitals, intending to improve access to precision surgery in regions with limited resources.
SS Innovations International (SSII)’s MantraM Surgical Robot Yatra has reached Lucknow as part of its ongoing tour through Uttar Pradesh, visiting Shekhar Hospital and Ajanta Hospital in the city.
The initiative forms part of a broader programme that began in the state and aims to introduce medical professionals to the MantraM robotic surgical system.
The journey also includes demonstrations and training sessions for doctors and surgeons.
As part of its programme, the SSII MantraM unit interacted with over 100 doctors, surgeons, and healthcare professionals across leading medical institutions in Uttar Pradesh, providing live demonstrations, hands-on sessions, and structured training in robotic-assisted surgery.
The Yatra’s visit to Shekhar Hospital in Lucknow was inaugurated by Dr. Amod K. Sachan, Founder & Chairman, Shekhar Hospitals.
Commenting on the occasion, he said, “The MantraM unit offers our faculty and students an invaluable opportunity to witness firsthand the future of surgery. More importantly, this milestone brings us closer to democratizing access to advanced surgical care, especially in regions where specialists are in short supply. Designed for remote areas, the unit is equipped with backup power, high-speed telecom infrastructure, satellite connectivity for telesurgery, a 380-litre fuel tank, a driver’s cabin, multiple access points, and a ramp for equipment movement.
Additionally, the MantraM Surgical Robot Yatra recently reached Dehradun as part of SS Innovations’ nationwide programme to increase access to advanced robotic surgical technologies.
The medtech company further aims to advance Care in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities across India for providing transformative healthcare using surgical robotics.
