Rocket Health Unveils World’s 1st AI-powered Voice Journal for Mental Health

The app offers a voice-first interface that lets users talk freely in “Rant Mode” or opt for structured check-in prompts that encourage self-reflection, and with time, the AI tracks mood trends and offers gentle insights.

Bengaluru-based leading mental healthtech startup, Rocket Health, has launched the world’s first AI-powered voice journal app for mental wellness.

The AI journaling app is designed to help users reflect, express themselves, and track their emotional well-being.

According to reports, the startup claims this is the world’s first AI voice journal tailored for mental wellness.

The app offers a voice-first interface that lets users talk freely, while the AI listens in a judgment-free way. Users can choose modes like “Rant Mode”, where they simply speak out whatever is on their mind, or opt for structured check-in prompts that encourage self-reflection. Over time, the AI identifies mood trends and patterns, providing gentle insights.

This new initiative by the startup complements the startup’s broader ecosystem, which includes therapy, psychiatry, diagnostics, and digital pharmacy services. Founded in 2021, the startup has delivered over 200,000 sessions via a network of more than 100 psychologists.

As per the WHO, India faces a profound shortage of mental health professionals, fewer than one psychiatrist per 100,000 people, which has driven innovation in AI-enabled mental wellness tools.

The startup reportedly aims to fill this gap with the AI-powered Voice journal and to serve as a scalable companion for mental hygiene.

”Rocket Journal is built with Rocket Health’s team of psychologists, and makes the daily ritual of journaling effortless through its voice interface. This is a perfect tool for someone in therapy, as well as for someone new to journaling,” says Dr. Ritika Sinha, COO and Founder, Rocket Health.

Further commenting on this initiative, Abhineet Kumar, CEO and Founder at Rocket Health, said, “At Rocket Health, we believe the future of healthcare and wellness will be shaped by AI-first consumer products , the Rocket Journal app is our attempt at building a global mental wellness product from India for the world.”

As per reports, the Rocket Health AI app is currently available on the iOS App Store in India. Further, an Android version and integration with Apple Watch are expected to be released in 2026.
