UP Govt to Launch AYUSH App with Online OPD & Digital Health Services in Collaboration with IIT Kanpur
Officials have indicated that future upgrades will include teleconsultation services, access to online reports, and digital health records.
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the development of a new AYUSH app that has been designed to bring AYUSH healthcare services closer to citizens through digital access and comprehensive information on traditional systems of medicine.
Over the past few years, Uttar Pradesh has focused on improving healthcare delivery through technology-driven solutions, including online registrations, telemedicine services, and digital health records.
This initiative comes as part of the Yogi Adityanath-led government’s broader push to expand the reach and credibility of AYUSH systems by integrating them with digital health platforms.
A state-of-the-art AYUSH app is being developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, offering patients online OPD services, removing the need to stand in long queues at AYUSH hospitals and centres, along with access to all important information about AYUSH.
This is expected to reduce overcrowding at facilities and save time for patients, particularly senior citizens, women, and people living in remote or rural areas who often face challenges in accessing timely care.
Through the AYUSH app, users will be able to access detailed information on different AYUSH disciplines, including available treatments for various conditions, medicines, doctor profiles, and the location of nearby AYUSH hospitals and dispensaries.
Health tips and educational content related to preventive care and wellness will also be included, helping users make informed decisions about their health.
This initiative will make AYUSH healthcare more accessible to the public and ensure greater transparency in medical services,” AYUSH Principal Secretary Ranjan Kumar said.
The app will additionally serve as a single digital window for information on government schemes and programmes aimed at promoting AYUSH systems.
The AYUSH app is claimed to be secure, fast, and reliable, with a focus on protecting patient data.
Officials have indicated that future upgrades will include teleconsultation services, access to online reports, and digital health records.
