Altimetrik Opens Healthcare & Life Sciences CoE in Hyderabad to Advance AI Innovation

PharmaOS, the centre’s first offering, is an agentic AI framework built on Altimetrik’s ALTi AIOS operating system and includes more than 35 pre-built agents covering clinical and regulatory review, responsible AI, and data modernisation.

Altimetrik, a Michigan-based AI engineering company, has opened a Healthcare & Life Sciences Center of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad to accelerate AI innovation across healthcare and pharmaceutical operations.

The centre’s first offering, PharmaOS, is designed to help life sciences organisations develop and validate governed AI workflows in one week, using industry-specific agents and trusted enterprise data.

Altimetrik’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Center of Excellence brings together AI engineers and life sciences specialists to develop applications that address industry-specific workflows while accounting for regulatory requirements, data reliability and human oversight.

PharmaOS introduces more than 35 AI agents

PharmaOS, the centre’s first offering, is an agentic AI framework built on Altimetrik’s ALTi AIOS operating system. It includes more than 35 pre-built agents covering commercial operations, clinical and regulatory review, manufacturing, responsible AI and data modernisation.

The framework connects AI agents with enterprise processes and trusted data, enabling applications such as healthcare professional engagement planning, clinical study report reviews, batch-release readiness assessments and Good Practice (GxP) compliance checks. Its outputs are designed to be traceable to supporting evidence, with human oversight retained for decisions.

PharmaOS also separates its operating layer from the underlying AI model, allowing organisations to use different enterprise AI platforms and switch models without rebuilding their agents. The company has identified platforms including Google Cloud, Gemini Enterprise and OpenAI ChatGPT Enterprise among the supported options.

One-week model for AI workflow validation

Altimetrik has introduced a one-week delivery model intended to shorten the time between identifying a business challenge and evaluating a potential AI application.

For a defined use case with agreed data access and a limited workflow, its engineers and life sciences specialists develop an executable workflow using reusable agents and industry-specific tools.

The process incorporates security, monitoring, source traceability, quality checks, human decision rights, and measurable business key performance indicators. Clients can then evaluate the workflow using their own enterprise data and determine whether to proceed with further investment.

“Enterprises want AI that delivers meaningful outcomes, and in healthcare and life sciences, that means engineering solutions that are grounded in industry context, regulatory requirements, and trusted data,” said Raj Sundaresan, Chief Executive Officer, Altimetrik.

Hyderabad centre strengthens India operations

Altimetrik selected Hyderabad for its pharmaceutical industry presence and access to clinical, regulatory, quality and engineering expertise. The CoE operates from the company’s 22,000-square-foot office at Phoenix Equinox in Gachibowli, near HITEC City, which houses more than 300 Altimetrik employees.

The centre will initially engage clients through focused co-innovation sprints, individual PharmaOS agents integrated into existing workflows, and demonstrations using enterprise AI platforms. Altimetrik plans to develop additional offerings in collaboration with clients across healthcare and life sciences.

The Hyderabad launch follows the company’s expansion in Pune, which brought its global workforce to more than 10,000 employees.
