UP CM Yogi Adityanath Unveils KDSG Super-Speciality Hospital in Greater Noida
Built at a cost of around INR 200 crore, the hospital will provide advanced services across key medical specialities, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and high-end surgical care.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has inaugurated the KDSG Super Speciality Hospital in the Dadri area of Greater Noida.
The new hospital is co-founded by former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev and will operate as a 300-bed healthcare facility.
Built at a cost of around INR 200 crore, the hospital will provide advanced services across key medical specialities, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and high-end surgical care.
The facility is also expected to strengthen healthcare services across the NCR region and generate nearly 1,000 employment opportunities in the region.
Speaking at the inauguration, CM Adityanath said, “Every citizen in a prosperous nation has the right to good healthcare. While the government is making efforts, participation of the private sector is necessary to ensure better medical facilities for everyone.”
Further talking about the Ayushman Bharat and its progress in UP, the CM said, “Through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the government has ensured cashless treatment of up to INR 5 lakh for poor and needy citizens without any discrimination, bringing relief to millions. Until 2014, only six AIIMS were operational in the country. Today, under the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 23 AIIMS are functioning across India.”
He further noted, “More than 60 crore people are receiving medical care under Ayushman Bharat. Uttar Pradesh is the leading state in the country with the highest number of Golden Cards issued. Over 5.6 crore Golden Cards have been distributed in the state so far. This has also created healthy competition in the healthcare sector, which is encouraging the growth of super-speciality facilities. At the same time, efforts are being made to reduce the significant gap between government-set treatment rates and the arbitrary rates charged by the private sector.”
The CM also emphasized that those not covered under Ayushman Bharat can receive assistance through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, further adding that about INR 1,300 crore had been deployed in the past year to help patients access treatment in hospitals across the state.
Recently, the CM has also visited Japan to explore investment opportunities in the state across key areas, including medical device manufacturing, aimed at further strengthening the state’s healthcare ecosystem and deepening economic collaboration.
