Yogi Adityanath Courts Japanese Investors, Pitches YEIDA Medical Device Park in Tokyo

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath began his Japan visit with meetings involving CEOs of leading Japanese firms, inviting them to explore investment opportunities in the state across logistics, warehousing, multi-modal transport infrastructure and medical device manufacturing.
A key focus of his discussions was the Medical Device Park being developed in the YEIDA region, which he described as a golden opportunity for Japanese companies.
Presenting Uttar Pradesh as a hub for global supply chains and high-value manufacturing, the Chief Minister said the project offers a conducive ecosystem supported by modern infrastructure, connectivity, policy support and a single-window clearance system.
"Uttar Pradesh not only provides land and infrastructure to investors but also offers policy stability, a skilled workforce, and a government known for swift decision-making," he said.
As part of his engagements, the Chief Minister met Shigeki Tanabe, Business In-Charge of Konoike Transport, to discuss prospects in logistics parks, warehousing and multi-modal transport infrastructure.
He emphasised that the geographical and industrial landscape of Uttar Pradesh presents opportunities for investors.
He also held discussions with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Infrastructure Projects Business Unit, Mitsui & Co., along with senior members of his team, regarding investment possibilities in the state.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on a two-day visit to Japan (February 25–26, 2026), engaged directly with industry leaders and positioned the state as a preferred investment destination in Asia.
The visit is aimed at deepening economic collaboration, attracting Japanese investments across logistics, infrastructure, and medical device manufacturing, and showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s evolving industrial ecosystem as globally competitive and policy-driven.
