Philips Unveils Cloud-based IntelliSite Pathology Solution on HealthSuite

The cloud-enabled IntelliSite Pathology Solution is designed to enable pathology laboratories to securely store, manage, and analyze large volumes of high-resolution digital pathology images.

Global healthcare technology company Royal Philips has announced the expansion of its digital pathology portfolio with the launch of a new cloud-enabled IntelliSite Pathology Solution.

The new system is built on its HealthSuite platform, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), is a fully cloud-enabled digital pathology solution that aims to help healthcare organizations scale their digital workflows without the complexity of on-premise infrastructure.

The solution is designed to enable pathology laboratories to securely store, manage, and analyse large volumes of high-resolution digital pathology images.

Additionally, it is also intended to provide pathologists with remote access to cases and allow them to collaborate across locations, supporting faster and more efficient diagnostic workflows.

Further, by leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure, the platform is designed to simplify IT management and enable scalable data management, which is expected to reduce workloads and growing image volumes for pathology departments.

The cloud-based infrastructure also allows laboratories to expand digital pathology capabilities without maintaining an extensive on-site hardware system.

The platform is the newest addition to the Philips HealthSuite Integrated Diagnostics portfolio, which includes cloud-based tools across radiology, cardiology, and pathology.

The portfolio is designed to connect data, integrate workflows, and embed AI across the diagnostic enterprise.

Through these integrated solutions, health systems and healthcare organizations are expected to enable data interoperability across radiology, cardiology, and pathology, streamline diagnostic workflows, and support more coordinated, data-driven care.

Recently, the global healthtech company also introduced the next-generation Rembra CT system. The new diagnostic system is designed to support high-acuity imaging environments with faster image reconstruction, AI-supported workflows, and improved patient accessibility.
