Mizoram Unveils New AI  Health App  with Mizo Chatbot, Enabling ABHA Registrations & Others

Its features include tools to locate nearby health facilities, check doctors’ availability, view pharmacy stock, upload and access medical reports, and receive automated appointment reminders.

The Lungliei District Administration in Mizoram has launched a new AI-powered mobile Health App aimed at digitizing healthcare and improving access to health across the district.

The app is named “LushaAI Healthy Lunglei” and features a chatbot in the Mizo Language. The initiative was launched by V. Malsawmtluanga, Vice Chairman of the Lunglei High Powered Committee (HPC).

Commenting on the launch, Malsawmtluanga, stated the app would greatly ease access to healthcare services for residents of Lunglei and surrounding areas, and described it as a significant milestone not only for Lunglei but for Mizoram as a whole, noting that it is among the first of its kind in the North Eastern region.

He also highlighted the Mizoram Government’s emphasis on healthcare and urged citizens to make full use of the Mizoram Universal Health Care Scheme.

In the live demonstrations of the application, the LushAITech development team highlighted the app's key features. The App is designed to enable users view users to view doctors’ consultation schedules at government hospitals and health centres across the district and schedule OPD consultations in advance.

Further, the App also facilitates the ABHA app, registration, medicine purchases through registered pharmacies, and access to essential health information.

The Lusha App is built upon Lusha’s latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) models and AI Agents, and includes an AI chatbot intended to enable users with OPD bookings and respond to queries in the Mizo language.

The application supports both Android and iOS platforms.

Additionally, features include tools to locate nearby health facilities, check doctors’ availability, view pharmacy stock, upload and access medical reports, and receive automated appointment reminders.

The app also features a web-based dashboard that has been provided for healthcare administrations and staff to manage data efficiently.

Furthermore, the app complies with the Digital Information Security in Healthcare Act (DISHA), ensuring privacy, data security, and adherence to national standards.
