The company has also launched its Medical Intelligence Lab, an AI-led initiative that unifies health data from labs, imaging, and wearables to deliver real-time, clinically informed guidance.

Texas-based healthcare service provider, Function Health, has raised $298 million in its Series B funding round.

The massive funding pushed the company’s valuation to $2.5 billion.

The fresh infusion of funds is expected to advance AI technologies into clinical and preventive health services.

Further, as part of the expansion, the company has also launched its Medical Intelligence Lab, an AI-led initiative that unifies health data from labs, imaging, and wearables to deliver real-time, clinically informed guidance.

The platform combines AI with expert medical insights and reads blood results, early medical history, and signals from wearables to create a dynamic, continuous learning of the patient’s profile and deliver personalized care.

Users can leverage this platform to view detailed test results and clinical assessments and get personalized nutrition and recommendations.

The company also expanded its leadership profile with key appointments, including Dr. Daniel K. Sodickson as Chief Medical Scientist, who will co-direct the Medical Intelligence Lab, as well as specialists in women’s health and clinical operations.

According to Dr. Sodickson, "Function changes that. Medical Intelligence connects important signals, from blood to imaging to wearables, creating a continuously learning model of your health. It's not AI replacing doctors; it's clinical expertise amplified by intelligent systems that never stop learning.”

The funding round was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from major investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Roku founder Anthony Wood.

Since its launch in 2023, the company has conducted more than 50 million lab tests and now operates across 75 locations in the United States.
