FUJIFILM Unveils Rajasthan’s 1st CAD EYE AI system at Fortis Hospital, Jaipur
The system uses deep-learning AI along with advanced imaging modes such as LCI and BLI to enable professionals to identify abnormalities at an early stage.
FUJIFILM India has installed the first-ever AI-powered CAD EYE system at Fortis Hospital, Jaipur in Rajasthan, marking a significant milestone for advanced diagnostics in the region.
The new installation initiative is aimed at mitigating the threat of gastric and colon cancers in the underserved region of Rajasthan.
The system uses deep-learning AI along with advanced imaging modes like Linked Colour Imaging (LCI) and Blue Light Imaging (BLI) to enable professionals to identify abnormalities at an early stage.
By integrating enhanced endoscopic imaging with intelligent analysis, the CAD EYE system detects subtle lesions at an early stage, improves diagnostic precision, and increases adenoma detection rates.
This is expected to advance support for faster intervention and better patient outcomes.
The installation was led by Dr Shyam Sunder Sharma, Senior Director & HOD Gastroenterology, Fortis Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Commenting on this initiative, he said, “This marks a significant milestone with the installation of Jaipur’s first-ever Artificial Intelligence system, CAD EYE. This innovation will not only enhance the current medical infrastructure but also ensure faster and more accurate results without any additional cost to patients for the first time in Rajasthan.”
“This accomplishment goes beyond technological progress; it reflects our unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare outcomes for our community. With CAD EYE, we are set to raise the bar in gastrointestinal care, enabling timely and precise diagnoses that are vital in the battle against cancer. AI-powered endoscopy has proven to be a transformative tool in improving patient outcomes, though it has largely been confined to metro cities in India,” he added.
With the CAD EYE system now operational in Jaipur, the hospital plans to roll out focused screening campaigns and community-awareness initiatives to identify at-risk population groups.
Speaking on the installation, Dheeraj Chaudhari, Head of Endoscopy Systems Division, FUJIFILM India, said, “With the installation of CAD EYE in Fortis Hospital, Jaipur, the patients in the city will be able to get the required medical support to detect suspected lesions at an early stage.’’
“This will aid the timely diagnosis and treatment of the citizens of Jaipur and neighbouring states at the technologically advanced Center in Rajasthan. We aim to provide superior, technologically advanced medical facilities that help save lives and encourage patients to become more engaged in their personal care. With the vision of innovation, we will strive to provide our consumers with the best-in-class technology and make India a healthier place to live in,” he further added.
According to the company, this installation is aimed at fostering its goal of bringing next-gen healthcare technologies beyond major metro areas.
