FUJIFILM India Unveils Advanced Diagnostics in Siliguri's Care Center

The APERTO MRI system features a True OPEN Bore design and a 0.4T permanent magnet, integrating precision imaging with enhanced patient comfort.

FUJIFILM India, a global leader in advanced diagnostic care, has installed its advanced APERTO Lucent Open MRI system at the Mother Care Center in Siliguri.

The new initiative is aimed at enhancing access to high-quality diagnostic imaging in North Bengal and neighbouring regions.

The APERTO MRI system features a True OPEN Bore design and a 0.4T permanent magnet, integrating precision imaging with enhanced patient comfort.

The new unit is designed to support a more open and less claustrophobic scanning experience, while IP-RAPID technology shortens scan times without compromising image clarity, enabling clinicians to assess neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiac, and oncological conditions.

The new MRI system aims to reduce travel burdens for patients and provide faster, accurate diagnoses closer to home.

Commenting on the new facility, Dr. Ranjit Bhagat, Director of Mother Care Center, said, “At Mother Care Center, our priority has always been to give patients access to the best possible care, supported by reliable and advanced technology. The APERTO Lucent Open MRI is a significant step forward for us; it delivers superior image quality while offering a more comfortable experience, especially for patients who feel anxious in closed scanners. This upgrade strengthens our ability to diagnose with confidence and ensures that our community benefits from modern, high-precision imaging right here in Siliguri.”

In a recent development, FUJIFILM India has installed Rajasthan’s first AI-enabled CAD EYE system at Fortis Hospital, Jaipur, representing a step toward expanding access to advanced diagnostic technologies in Rajasthan.

The CAD EYE system combines deep-learning–based AI with advanced imaging technologies such as Linked Colour Imaging (LCI) and Blue Light Imaging (BLI) to assist clinicians in identifying abnormalities at an early stage.
