Arete Hospitals Introduces the SkyWalker Orthopedic Robotic System in Hyderabad

Arete Hospitals, a leading multispeciality hospital in Hyderabad, has introduced the Skywalker Orthopedic Robotic System in collaboration with U.S.-headquartered medtech company MicroPort Orthopedics for knee replacement surgery.
The initiative marks the first SkyWalker Orthopedic Robotic System installation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The new facility is aimed at strengthening the position Arete Hospitals as a center of excellence in advanced orthopedic and robotic surgery in India, providing personalized care and transforming the standards of knee replacement surgery in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Currently, Arete hospital operates a 250-bed quaternary care center in Hyderabad offering a range of specialties, including orthopaedics, oncology.

The Orthopedic Robotic System is designed to assist surgeons with precision alignment and personalized implant positioning during knee replacement procedures.
The robotic system works in conjunction with the NitrX Evolution implant, which is intended to enhance surgical accuracy and support recovery outcomes for patients.
The SkyWalker Orthopedic Robotic System is built on true-medial pivot technology and is designed to support sub-millimeter precision in knee joint alignment, enabling more personalised surgical planning.
Reportedly, the system has been deployed in more than 45 countries with recorded outcomes including improved joint function and supported recovery timelines.
