Thermo Fisher & NVIDIA Join Hands to Advance AI-powered Lab Automation
The new partnership seeks to leverage NVIDIA’s AI platform and Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions to scale the automation, improve operational accuracy, and speed of laboratories.
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA aimed at integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into scientific instruments and laboratory operations.
Under the collaboration, Thermo Fisher will combine its expertise in scientific instruments and laboratory software with NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure, including tools such as NVIDIA DGX Spark, NVIDIA NeMo, and NVIDIA BioNeMo.
The new partnership seeks to leverage NVIDIA’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform and Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions to scale the automation, improve operational accuracy, and speed of laboratories.
The collaboration aims to advance Thermo Fisher's position as a leader in supplying cutting-edge instruments, equipment, consumables, and services for the life sciences by bringing AI into the laboratory.

Recently, NVIDIA and Eli Lilly have announced a collaboration to launch a first-of-its-kind AI co-innovation laboratory in Silicon Valley, committing up to $1 billion over five years to apply AI across drug discovery, development, and manufacturing.
