SS Innovations Announces World’s First Pediatric Pyeloplasty Telesurgery Using SSi Mantra

SSi Mantra 3 is the company’s latest robotic system, featuring up to five modular robotic arms and more than 40 surgical instruments, supporting a wide range of specialties

SS Innovations International, a Gurugram-based leader in MedTech company, has announced the successful completion of the world’s first pediatric pyeloplasty via telesurgery using its flagship robotic system, SSi Mantra.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Chandra Mohan Vaddi, Managing Director of Preeti Urology & Kidney Hospitals (“Preeti Hospital”), who conducted the robotic procedure remotely from SS Innovations’ headquarters in Gurugram, India, nearly 1,000 miles away from a 16-month-old patient located at Preeti Hospital in Hyderabad, India.

Launched in June 2024, SSi Mantra 3 is the company’s latest robotic system, featuring up to five modular robotic arms and more than 40 surgical instruments, supporting a wide range of specialties.

As per data till date, over 50 telesurgeries have been successfully performed with SSi Mantra, covering specialties such as: Pediatric, Cardiac, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and General Surgery.

Reportedly, SS Innovations aims to address the unmet surgical robotic needs of the large and growing pediatrics market, aligning with the Company’s mission of bringing world-class care to underserved communities.

The Company intends to continue to expand SSi Mantra’s capabilities in pediatric robotic surgery through the development of smaller instrumentation.
