Quality Care Announces INR 600 Cr Investment to Set Up Multispeciality Facility in Nagpur

The new initiative aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Central India by integrating essential and advanced medical services, covering cardiac sciences, oncology, gastroenterology, trauma care, and neurosciences.

Quality Care India Limited (QCIL) has announced plans to invest INR 600 crore to set up a multi-speciality hospital in Nagpur, Maharashtra, under a public-private partnership (PPP) with Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro).

As per reports, QCIL has already received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the development of the proposed multi-speciality facility and will operate under the “CARE Hospitals” network.

The proposed facility is expected to serve both Nagpur and the surrounding regions of Virdarbha.

The planned facility will have more than 350 beds and be developed on land near Kasturchand Park Metro Station.

As per the company, the new initiative aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in Central India by integrating essential and advanced medical services with urban infrastructure development, covering cardiac sciences, oncology, gastroenterology, trauma care, and neurosciences.

Further, under the PPP model’s financial framework, the total net present value of returns to Maha-Metro is reported to exceed INR 1,850 crore.

Varun Khanna, QCIL Group Managing Director, said, “By aligning healthcare infrastructure with urban development, we can create scalable models that deliver high-quality care beyond metros. For cities like Nagpur, such collaborations are critical to strengthening regional healthcare capacity and addressing the long-term needs of Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.”

The new facility is expected to be completed within three years and seeks to generate over 1,500 direct and indirect jobs.

The hospital will be designed to provide high clinical standards while contributing meaningfully to the city’s social and economic infrastructure.

In addition to CARE Hospitals, QCIL currently also operates Evercare Bangladesh and KIMSHEALTH Kerala.
