Online Chikitsa Mitra (OCM), a digital healthcare platform from Salubrious Technologies, a healthtech startup headquartered in UP, has expanded its Medical Store-Led e-Clinics network across rural and semi-urban India, facilitating more than 1.5 lakh doctor consultations through over 600 partner medical stores across 15 states.
The startup is now increasing its presence in southern and northeastern states to improve access to qualified medical care through trusted community pharmacies.
Online Chikitsa Mitra has built its model around neighbourhood medical stores, which already serve as the first point of contact for many patients seeking healthcare advice.
Instead of relying entirely on smartphone-based consultations, the platform enables local pharmacies to function as assisted Medical Store-Led e-Clinics.
Patients can connect with qualified doctors through video consultations, maintain digital health records, receive prescriptions and access follow-up care without travelling long distances.
Pharmacy staff assist patients throughout the consultation process, making digital healthcare more accessible for those unfamiliar with technology.
“At the core of Online Chikitsa Mitra is the belief that healthcare access in India is not just a technology challenge. It is equally a trust and accessibility challenge. Technology can connect patients and doctors, but adoption happens when healthcare is delivered through systems that people already know and trust,” said Smriti Tandon, Co-Founder, Online Chikitsa Mitra and 120by80, flagship healthcare platforms by Salubrious Technologies.
According to Online Chikitsa Mitra, more than 55% of patients return to the platform within six months, indicating continuity of care, while women account for over 56% of users.
The platform also operates a dedicated Patient Relief Team that supports patients with follow-up consultations, treatment adherence, recovery monitoring and post-consultation assistance.
The ecosystem is supported by 120by80, Salubrious Technologies' doctor-focused platform that helps healthcare professionals manage appointments, patient records and ongoing care.
Together, the two platforms aim to strengthen connections between doctors, pharmacies and patients while improving care coordination.
As the startup continues expanding its Medical Store-Led e-Clinics network, it plans to further invest in technology, operational capabilities and patient support to extend digital healthcare services to underserved communities across India.
