NHA Signs MoU with AIIMS Deoghar & PHFI to Strengthen Public Healthcare
The new collaboration is aimed at advancing research, academic collaboration, and evidence-based evaluation under the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY scheme
The National Health Authority of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar, and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) to strengthen India’s public healthcare ecosystem.
The new collaboration is aimed at advancing research, academic collaboration, and evidence-based evaluation under the Ayushman Bharat Health Mission and AB-PMJAY scheme.
By leveraging institutional expertise and data-led insights, the partnership seeks to improve healthcare outcomes and support better policy design under the AB-PMJAY.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr Sunil Barnwal, CEO, NHA; Dr Preeti Kumar, Vice President, Health Systems, the PHFI, and Dr Abhishek Onkar, HOD, AIIMS Deoghar.
The new development is built on NHA’s ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration across institutions.
Last year, the Apex Authority regulating the AB-PMJAY and ABDM renewed its MoU with the Department of Health Research (DHR) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to strengthen technical cooperation for evidence-based decision-making. The collaboration focused on optimising healthcare resource allocation and enhancing quality across India’s flagship health schemes.
In a recent development, the authority announced the expansion of its NHCX platform with three new initiatives to enhance the digital health claims infrastructure in India.
The digital platform is designed to standardize and streamline health insurance claims processing across the country. The expansion aims to enable easy data exchange among hospitals, insurers, and other stakeholders to improve efficiency and interoperability in the claims ecosystem.
