Medulance Raises INR 24 Cr to Scale Tech-Enabled Emergency Healthcare Network

The startup plans to deepen its presence in existing markets, enter new cities, and expand its technology-led emergency healthcare infrastructure.

New Delhi-based Medulance, a technology-enabled emergency healthcare and pre-hospital response startup, has raised INR 24 crore in a Series A-2 funding round with participation from Auxano, Alkemi and Equentis, along with angel investors.

The capital is expected to be deployed to expand its ambulance infrastructure, strengthen its enterprise and hospital business lines, and invest in its technology platform and connected ambulance capabilities.

Founded in 2017 by Pranav Bajaj and Ravjot Singh Arora, Medulance is an Indian GPS-based emergency response and ambulance booking service.

Medulance operates an emergency response network serving enterprises, hospitals, government bodies, and individual consumers.

It provides app-based and phone-based ambulance booking and dispatch services, with a fleet that includes advanced life support (ALS), basic life support (BLS), patient transport, and mortuary vans.

According to startup data, it manages over 15,000 ambulances across more than 500 cities, serves a population exceeding 8 million, and handles around 5,000 emergency calls daily.

Medulance’s model combines on-ground medical infrastructure with a centralised dispatch system, fleet management tools, command centre operations, and real-time clinical connectivity.

Its technology platform is designed to support coordination between ambulances, emergency responders, and hospitals during patient transport.

The startup has developed 5G-enabled smart ambulances that transmit patient telemetry to hospital dashboards, support CCTV-based visual triage, and enable live clinical oversight during transit.

Further, the startup also reported an average response time of less than 11 minutes, 95% fleet uptime, and more than 110 corporate and hospital clients.

Sharing his thoughts, Pranav Bajaj, Co-founder and CEO of Medulance, said, “The opportunity ahead is to make this infrastructure more connected, more reliable and increasingly technology-led. Along the way, we have also learnt from what we could have done better, reinforcing our focus on building a high-value, profitable business. Medulance has come a long way, but in terms of what it can become, we are still only 1% done.”

“We have learnt from our earlier iterations and are now prioritising a sustainable, technology-led model,” added Bajaj while stating that the startup has focused on building operational scale and institutional partnerships.

The latest funding adds to more than $5 million raised by Medulance to date, including a $3 million Series A round led by Alkemi Growth Capital in 2024.

With the new capital infusion, the startup aims to build a more integrated emergency care ecosystem combining trained medical responders, technology-enabled dispatch, real-time clinical visibility, and coordination with hospitals.

Additionally, the startup plans to deepen its presence in existing markets, enter new cities, and expand its technology-led emergency healthcare infrastructure.

Sharing his thoughts, Brijesh Damodaran, Managing Partner at Auxano Capital, an investor in the round, said Medulance has shown that emergency healthcare can be structured as a scalable business while addressing a gap in India’s health infrastructure. “The company has built network density and institutional relationships that position it to leverage technology and scale further,” Damodaran added
