Pune-based MDIndia Health Insurance TPA has expanded its Chennai operations and announced plans to establish a new Centre of Excellence for Health Claims Management, reinforcing its role in supporting health insurance administration across South India.

The expansion includes workforce growth, enhanced claims-processing capabilities, and investments in technology-driven healthcare services aimed at improving efficiency for insurers, hospitals, and policyholders.

Sameer Bhonsale, Managing Director, MDIndia Health Insurance TPA, said, "Our Chennai expansion is not only about a new office or larger operations; it is about bringing dependable health claims management closer to people, hospitals and insurers when they need it most."

As one of India's established health insurance third-party administrators, MDIndia Health Insurance TPA has been serving the country's healthcare financing ecosystem for more than two decades.

TPAs play a critical role in facilitating cashless hospitalisation, coordinating between insurers and healthcare providers, processing claims, and supporting policyholders during medical treatment.

The company's latest expansion further strengthens its presence in Tamil Nadu, where it currently operates 23 offices, including four locations in Chennai. A fifth Centre of Excellence for Health Claims Management is expected to become operational in the city soon at NRCS Tower in Nungambakkam.

The company is also investing in artificial intelligence and machine learning-based claims adjudication systems designed to automate and streamline health claims management.
