Theon Group Acquires Maneesh Pharma Unit VI, Renames Facility Zoevita Lifesciences

Theon Group said the acquisition would support its manufacturing requirements and create opportunities to serve domestic and international markets.

Theon Group has acquired Maneesh Pharma’s Unit VI in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, through a slump sale, expanding its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The acquired facility will operate as Zoevita Lifesciences Ltd., adding manufacturing capacity for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products across tablets, capsules and sachets.

The facility has an annual production capacity of 3,000 million tablets, 150 million capsules and 30 million sachets. Theon Group said the acquisition would support its manufacturing requirements and create opportunities to serve domestic and international markets.

Zoevita Lifesciences holds World Health Organization Good Manufacturing Practices (WHO-GMP) certification, according to the company’s credentials. Its stated international regulatory approvals or market authorizations cover Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Myanmar and Yemen. The company also references US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and European Union (EU) compliance expectations.

Located in Baddi, a major pharmaceutical manufacturing hub in India, the facility is designed to support production efficiency, product quality and growing customer requirements.

Plans to Expand Manufacturing Capabilities

Zoevita is planning to add oral liquid manufacturing sections to its existing operations. The proposed expansion would broaden its dosage-form capabilities across pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products.

The acquisition adds another operating company to Theon Group’s portfolio, which includes Theon Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Theon Lifesciences Ltd. and Theogen Pvt. Ltd. Zoevita Lifesciences Ltd. will now join these businesses as part of the group’s pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Theon Group operates across pharmaceutical manufacturing and generic medicines. The acquisition expands its manufacturing footprint in Baddi and adds production capacity across multiple dosage forms.

The company has not disclosed the financial terms of the slump sale.
