Livasa Hospitals Enters Haryana with Karnal Expansion, Plans 1,650-Bed Network

The Karnal facility has more than 200 beds, with its infrastructure including 60 critical care beds, comprising 45 ICU beds and 15 CCU beds.

Livasa Hospitals has expanded into Haryana with the addition of a multi-specialty hospital in Karnal, marking a new phase in its regional growth strategy.

Backed by India Resurgence Fund (IndiaRF), the expansion is expected to increase the network’s potential bed capacity to 1,650 beds.

Livasa Hospitals is an integrated healthcare network operating across several locations in Punjab. Since IndiaRF acquired the network in September 2023, when it operated 750 beds, Livasa has pursued expansion across North India.

Its portfolio includes hospitals in Mohali, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Khanna, with a 368-bed facility under development in Ludhiana.

The Karnal facility has more than 200 beds and holds accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). Its infrastructure includes 60 critical care beds, comprising 45 intensive care unit (ICU) beds and 15 coronary care unit (CCU) beds.

The hospital also has a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, MRI and CT scanning facilities, dialysis services, and a 24-hour emergency and critical care department.

Through the Karnal expansion, Livasa Hospitals aims to extend access to specialised medical services for patients in Haryana and neighbouring districts.

“Livasa Hospitals was established with a vision to create a healthcare network that delivers world-class clinical outcomes while remaining deeply connected to the communities it serves. The addition of our Karnal hospital strengthens our regional presence, bringing advanced medical expertise, cutting-edge technology, and patient-centric care closer to the people of Haryana. We remain committed to continuously raising the standards of healthcare delivery across North India,” Anurag Yadav, Chief Executive Officer, Livasa Hospitals, said.

The hospital will integrate with the wider network, allowing its clinical teams to collaborate with group-level super-specialists and draw on shared medical expertise and operational practices.

Patients are expected to have access to services spanning cardiac sciences, neurosciences, orthopaedics and joint replacement, renal sciences, gastroenterology, oncology, pulmonology, urology and critical care.

The expansion is intended to strengthen multidisciplinary care and bring specialised treatment options closer to communities in Karnal, Kurukshetra, Pipli, Panipat, Kaithal, Yamunanagar and surrounding areas.

“Livasa’s entry in Karnal marks another important step in our journey to build a strong regional healthcare network. We remain committed to building a strong regional healthcare network that delivers clinical excellence and greater access to quality healthcare across North India,” Shantanu Nalavadi, Managing Director, IndiaRF, said.

With the Karnal expansion, Livasa Hospitals is continuing to scale its regional network through additional hospital capacity, specialised services and shared clinical expertise. The network’s potential capacity of 1,650 beds reflects its growth since the IndiaRF acquisition, while the planned Ludhiana facility represents another step in its expansion across North India.
