Stryker Completes Acquisition of ZuriMED to Expand Shoulder Care Portfolio

Announced on October 26, 2026, the acquisition brings ZuriMED’s specialized technology into Stryker’s portfolio.

Stryker has completed its acquisition of ZuriMED, adding the company’s commercialized FiberLocker System, a rotator cuff augmentation technology, to its Sports Medicine portfolio to expand its shoulder care offerings.

Announced on October 26, 2026, the acquisition brings ZuriMED’s specialized technology into Stryker’s portfolio. The FiberLocker System is designed to increase the biomechanical strength of rotator cuff repairs, addressing a clinical need in shoulder surgery.

The addition is expected to expand Stryker’s ability to support shoulder surgeons with treatment options across sports medicine and shoulder care.

“ZuriMED brings specialized expertise and a differentiated technology that complements our growing shoulder care capabilities,” said Andy Pierce, Group President of MedSurg and Neurotechnology at Stryker.

Pierce added that the companies have an opportunity to advance the FiberLocker technology, expand access to treatment options, and deliver greater value to customers and patients.

The acquisition adds a commercialized rotator cuff augmentation technology to Stryker’s existing shoulder portfolio. Rotator cuff repair is a key area of shoulder surgery, and augmentation technologies are designed to strengthen the repair construct.

Stryker said the addition would broaden its capabilities across the shoulder care continuum, enabling it to support specialists working in sports medicine and shoulder procedures.

ZuriMED is a privately held company that developed the FiberLocker System. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the announcement.
