The funds are expected to be used to enhance its telemedicine platform and strengthen the digital infrastructure to handle a higher consultation volume.

Indore-based healthtech startup Medyseva has raised INR 4 crore in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures, a venture fund, to boost healthcare access in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Founded in 2022 by Dr Vishesh Kasliwal, Medyseva aims to enhance access to quality doctor consultations in underserved regions by employing a “phygital” model that integrates physical clinics with a telemedicine backbone.

Reportedly, Medyseva has delivered in excess of 1 lakh consultations across rural and semi-urban areas in the last 12 months, achieving a repeat-patient metric of about 60 %.

Further, the startup currently onboards doctors from over 10 specialities, ranging from general practitioners to neurology and gynaecology, and partners with medical colleges to set up satellite clinics for efficient patient care delivery.

“At Medyseva, our mission is to make quality healthcare accessible to every Indian, irrespective of location,” said Dr Vishesh Kasliwal, Founder and CEO.

“This funding strengthens our ability to scale our hybrid healthcare model, enabling city-based specialists to reach patients in underserved areas.”

With this newly secured capital, the healthtech startup aims to scale its consultation capacity to over 2 lakh sessions and establish more than 500 phygital healthcare centres across India within the next 18 to 24 months.

Additionally, the funds will also be utilized to strengthen its telemedicine platform and strengthen the digital infrastructure to handle a higher consultation volume.

Medyseva also plans to build and train on-ground teams for operations and clinical support, to better manage its physical clinics and also improve patient engagement.

The startup is expected to further invest in targeted outreach campaigns to expand its presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

As part of its growth roadmap, Medyseva aims to enter five new states and deepen collaborations with medical institutions and private hospitals, reinforcing its mission to bridge India’s healthcare accessibility gap.
