RED Health & Medanta Indore Launch Indore’s First 5G-Enabled ALS Ambulance
The collaboration aims to improve response times and the quality of pre-hospital care by combining advanced 5G connectivity with medical expertise.
Indore witnessed the launch of its first 5G-enabled Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance as RED Health partnered with Medanta Indore to strengthen emergency healthcare services in the city.
The service was inaugurated on October 14, 2025, in the presence of Dr. Sanjay Geed, Medical Director, Medanta Indore; Dr. Rajneesh Kachhara, Director, Neurosciences, Medanta Hospital Indore; and Dr. Tausif Thangalvadi, COO, RED Health.
Indore, one of India’s fastest-growing cities, faces increasing pressure on emergency healthcare due to rising population and traffic congestion.
The collaboration aims to improve response times and the quality of pre-hospital care by combining advanced 5G connectivity with medical expertise.
Dr. Tausif Thangalvadi, COO, RED Health, said, “We are proud to partner with Medanta Indore to bring this revolutionary 5G-enabled ALS ambulance to the hospital. The integration of 5G technology is a game-changer in emergency medical services, enabling doctors to guide and monitor patients in real time.”
Boosting Emergency Care with 5G Technology
Equipped with SyncX technology, the 5G-enabled ambulance allows real-time communication between paramedics and Medanta’s emergency specialists, with data transmission latency of less than two seconds. This capability enables doctors to monitor vital signs remotely, guide on-site teams, and prepare treatment protocols before the patient reaches the hospital.
Dr. Sanjay Geed, Medical Director, Medanta Indore, noted, “This facility will be especially beneficial during emergencies such as road accidents, cardiac arrests, and strokes, where every second counts. Real-time patient data will help us initiate early treatment even before arrival.”
