iKure Raises $1.8 Mn Pre-Series A to Expand Technology-Enabled Primary Healthcare Across India

The investment will be used to expand iKure's healthcare hubs, clinics, pharmacies, and diagnostic capabilities.

Kolkata-based digital health startup iKure Techsoft has secured $1.8 Mn in Pre-Series A funding from Philips Foundation, World Diabetes Foundation, Bayer Foundation and Japan-based Prourgn LLC to scale its technology-enabled primary healthcare operations across India.

iKure has built its healthcare delivery model around combining community-based healthcare workers with digital patient records and clinical infrastructure.

The startup currently operates across 11 Indian states, covering 7,900 villages and reaching more than 36 million people. Its network has recorded over 4.5 million patient interactions.

iKure operates primary healthcare hubs, clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic facilities, and telemedicine services through its proprietary WHIMS digital health platform. More than 400 Community Health Activists support healthcare delivery on the ground, while over 10,000 women-led Self-Help Groups help extend healthcare outreach within communities.

Through WHIMS, patient information can be carried forward across consultations and follow-up visits.

iKure also runs Diabetes360, a chronic disease management programme focused on supporting continued care for people with diabetes through its community health network.

The $1.8 Mn Pre-Series A investment will be used to expand iKure's healthcare hubs, clinics, pharmacies and diagnostic capabilities.

iKure also plans to strengthen its WHIMS platform with AI-enabled clinical decision support tools to help healthcare workers identify patient risks earlier and enable clinical teams to manage larger patient populations.

Remote patient monitoring and workforce development will also form part of the expansion strategy.

With the latest funding, iKure is expected to deepen its presence across India and expand its technology-enabled primary healthcare model, with a focus on strengthening continuous, community-based care for underserved populations.
