The newly secured capital will be leveraged to accelerate product development, kiosk prototyping, integration of healthcare devices and sensors, cloud architecture, and software development.
Faridabad-based medtech startup MedPredict has raised $100K in a pre-series round for its AI-powered healthcare platform MediElaj.
The newly secured capital will be leveraged to accelerate product development, kiosk prototyping, integration of healthcare devices and sensors, cloud architecture, and software development.
Founded in June 2023 by Debjit Patra and Umesh Khatri, MedPredict is a healthtech startup developing AI-powered diagnostic solutions through its flagship platform, MediElaj.
In addition, the capital is also expected to support preparation for pilot deployments and build a research and operational foundation for scalable growth.
In parallel, the founders have also bootstrapped and invested nearly $500K into building the company’s technology platform, AI healthcare ecosystem, kiosk infrastructure, and operational capabilities.
The startup is building a connected healthcare ecosystem that utilises smart healthcare kiosks and mobile apps to deliver at-home, AI-assisted health screenings and non-invasive health measurements.
Alongside this, the platform provides conversational assistance for healthcare issues and enables access to digital health records for users.
The integrated app and smart kiosk model is designed to facilitate early diagnosis and preventive healthcare, particularly for underserved and remote communities across India and globally.
The startup’s kiosks combine AI-assisted health screening, non-invasive diagnostics, conversational healthcare guidance, and digital health records.
The solution aims to bring intelligent healthcare support directly to communities in smaller towns and rural regions, making healthcare accessible in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances to urban centres.
The company further plans to build and expand its manufacturing capabilities for scalable production, establish nationwide deployment capacity, advance its AI technologies and cybersecurity infrastructure, and develop partnerships to form a healthcare ecosystem that reaches Tier 2, Tier 3, rural, and underserved markets.
Commenting on the significance of the platform, Debjit Patra, Founder & Chairman, remarked, “We envision MediElaj becoming one of Bharat’s and the world’s leading AI-enabled healthcare accessibility platforms focused on preventive, affordable, and scalable healthcare delivery.”
Patra added, “Our mission is to build a connected healthcare ecosystem that brings intelligent healthcare support closer to millions of people across Tier 2, Tier 3, rural, and underserved regions of India.”
The latest funding comes shortly after the launch of the MediElaj platform, which aims to improve access to affordable and preventive healthcare services across India.
