The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, has launched five digital initiatives, inaugurated by the Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, to advance start-up support, innovation, and technology-led development in Ayurveda.

The launches include the AYUSH Start-up Portal, AIIA-iCAINE website, Ayurveda Digital Innovation and Venture Acceleration Facility (AyuDIVA), Vamana App and Panchakarma Assessment App.

The occasion also saw the exchange of an international MoU between Maharishi International University (MIU), USA, and AIIA, New Delhi, to strengthen institutional collaboration.

The AYUSH Start-up Portal and AyuDIVA are among the initiatives focused on entrepreneurship and innovation in Ayurveda. The AIIA-iCAINE website and the Vamana App and Panchakarma Assessment App form part of the institute’s broader digital initiative portfolio.

Details regarding the applications’ specific features, deployment, and intended users have not been disclosed in the announcement.

AIIA Director Prof. (Vaidya) P. K. Prajapati has highlighted the institute’s Ayurinformatics Lab, which supports AI-driven formulation development and dosage design, as well as its KINDER Lab, which provides facilities for paediatric electrophysiology and non-invasive diagnostics.

AIIA operates under the Ministry of AYUSH and focuses on Ayurvedic education, clinical services and scientific research.

The Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, called for scientific research to establish the efficacy of traditional healthcare practices and strengthen their global acceptance. He emphasised the need to preserve traditional knowledge while validating it through research, with particular attention to child health.

According to Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, the institute runs more than 45 specialised outpatient departments, offers postgraduate and doctoral education across 12 specialties, mentors 105 pharmacovigilance centres and maintains over 97 national and international academic collaborations.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Prataprao Jadhav emphasised the importance of combining classical Ayurvedic knowledge with contemporary scientific methods to develop credible and safe approaches to paediatric healthcare. He highlighted Ayurveda’s potential in preventive healthcare, maternal and child nutrition, and child growth and development.

The five digital launches and international MoU form part of AIIA’s broader efforts to strengthen research, innovation and institutional partnerships. Their impact will depend on how the initiatives are implemented and adopted by start-ups, researchers and clinical practitioners.
