Chhattisgarh Secures INR 2,466 Cr Healthcare Investment

The fund is intended to set up 11 hospitals and generate 6,000 jobs, supporting the state’s vision of Viksit Bharat

Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai has announced that the state has received investment proposals of over INR 3,119.07 crore, including INR. 2,466.77 crore in healthcare and INR. 652.3 crore in the hotel and tourism sectors.

The proposals were unveiled during a state-level investment conclave, reflecting the government’s focus on attracting investments and enhancing medical services.

Highlighting the role of GST 2.0, CM said, “GST 2.0 has opened up unprecedented opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs due to its simplicity, transparency, and speed.”

Further, he said the state government has set a target to achieve a developed Chhattisgarh, which is aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat.

Reportedly, over the last one-and-a-half years, more than 350 reforms have been implemented to facilitate growth.

Commenting on this, the CM said, “We have moved beyond ‘ease of doing business’ and entered the era of ‘speed of doing business'.”

“The healthcare sector has attracted cumulative investment proposals worth more than Rs 2,466 crore, which will generate nearly 6,000 new jobs,” he added.

Referring to proposals, the Chief Minister named eleven major healthcare projects, including Ginni Devi Goyal Manipal Hospital, Raipur, 500 beds, Neer Ganga Hospital and Research Centre, Raipur with 450 beds, Bombay Hospital a 300 bed hospital with INR 680.37 crore investment and 500 jobs, Maa Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur a 750 bed multi-specialty hospital with INR 340 crore investment and 1,500 jobs and Aarogyamrit Wellness LLP, Raipur a health and wellness centre with INR 300 crore investment and 1,000 jobs.

These hospitals, along with other planned projects, are expected to provide advanced diagnostic, treatment, and emergency care facilities, strengthen medical infrastructure, and create thousands of jobs in the healthcare sector.
