BPL MedTech Acquires Yozma BMtech to Expand Footprint in Preventive Diagnostics
This integration of the advanced technology is further expected to strengthen BPL MedTech's footprint in imaging and diagnostics, particularly in the women’s health segment.
BPL Medical Technologies has acquired Yozma BMtech, a South Korea-based company specialising in bone mineral density (BMD) diagnostic solutions.
The move aims to strengthen BPL’s imaging and preventive diagnostics portfolio while expanding its capabilities in bone health assessment and early disease detection.
Following the acquisition, the company has introduced BMtech’s advanced bone mineral density measuring systems in India and Dubai to support early screening and monitoring of osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions.
The advanced system integrates high-speed scanning and high-resolution imaging technologies while maintaining low radiation exposure to enhance patient safety.
The model is designed to support whole-body bone densitometry and body composition analysis, which is expected to enhance preventive health assessments.
In addition, it also leverages fan-beam technology with multi-channel detectors designed to accurately measure bone density across multiple anatomical sites.
Moreover, the system features a compact design enablinge installed in space-constrained hospitals and diagnostic centers.
The company stated that the launch seeks to address the growing demand for preventive diagnostics driven by ageing populations, increasing prevalence of osteoporosis, and lifestyle-related risk factors.
This integration of the advanced technology is further expected to strengthen BPL MedTech's footprint in imaging and diagnostics, particularly in the women’s health segment.
Highlighting the significance of the acquisition, Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director of BPL Medical Technologies, said, “This acquisition represents a significant step in strengthening our preventive healthcare and diagnostics portfolio. Bone health, particularly among women and aging populations, requires greater focus on early detection and monitoring. By bringing advanced bone mineral density technology to key markets, we aim to improve access to reliable screening solutions and support better clinical outcomes.”
