Bhopal Gets an AI-Enabled Pro Health Check on Wheels for Rural Communities
The mobile unit is designed to provide hospital-grade diagnostic services and teleconsultation support in a single, fully-equipped vehicle, making preventive healthcare more accessible outside conventional hospital settings.
Apollo Sage Hospitals has launched an AI-enabled “Pro Health Check on Wheels”, a mobile diagnostic unit aimed at delivering preventive healthcare services to people in remote and underserved areas of Madhya Pradesh.
The initiative is part of Apollo’s ProHealth program, which focuses on predictive and preventive health check-ups.
The mobile unit is designed to provide hospital-grade diagnostic services and teleconsultation support in a single, fully-equipped vehicle, making preventive healthcare more accessible outside conventional hospital settings.
According to the reports, the mobile facility includes mammography, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, treadmill (TMT) stress testing, audiometry, eye examinations, vitals monitoring, and blood sample collection for laboratory tests.
The unit also features teleconsultation capabilities, allowing patients to interact directly with specialists at Apollo Sage Hospitals in Bhopal for guidance and follow-up advice.
Apollo Sage Hospitals stated that the system uses AI-based risk assessment technology to analyse patient diagnostic data.
The AI system is intended to identify early signs of chronic conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and liver or kidney disorders. All patient results are stored digitally, ensuring that follow-up consultations can be tracked and managed efficiently.
The mobile unit will travel across several districts in Madhya Pradesh to reach communities with limited access to preventive screening and advanced diagnostic services.
The bus is capable of delivering multiple diagnostic services at once, reducing the need for patients to travel to urban centres for routine health checks.
The mobile unit is part of a broader plan to strengthen preventive healthcare outreach across Madhya Pradesh, enabling timely intervention and better health management for local communities.
By combining imaging, laboratory testing, and telemedicine, the initiative aims to increase early detection of diseases and improve awareness of health risks among populations that traditionally have limited exposure to such services.
