Andhra Pradesh Advances Statewide Sanjeevani Rollout, Enabling Digitally Connected Healthcare for 5 Cr Citizens

The Andhra Pradesh government has invited bids to develop and operate the Sanjeevani digital health platform for five years, marking the next phase of its plan to digitally connect healthcare services and maintain integrated health records for more than five crore residents.
Sanjeevani was introduced as a pilot project in Kuppam in July 2025 to address gaps in coordination across multiple state and central healthcare programmes.
Building on the pilot, the Andhra Pradesh government is now moving towards statewide implementation through a technology partner that will develop, operate and maintain the platform over the next five years.
The Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare has released the Request for Proposal (RFP) after Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav approved it following consultations with department officials.
The selected agency will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the integrated digital platform that will power the Sanjeevani scheme across Andhra Pradesh.
According to the tender schedule, a pre-bid meeting has been planned for July 27, followed by a discussion to address bidder queries on July 31.
Interested organisations can submit their proposals until August 14. Technical and financial evaluations will be conducted through August, with the final selection expected on September 7.
The government has specified that eligible Indian organisations with prior experience in implementing digital healthcare systems can participate in the bidding process.
Preference will also be given to entities that have at least three years of experience implementing healthcare programmes under state or central government schemes.
The final selection will follow the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method, assigning 70% weightage to technical capability and 30% to financial evaluation.
Once implemented, the platform will maintain digital health records for citizens while continuously updating health information throughout their care journey.
It is expected to analyse medical histories to identify potential health risks, generate advance alerts, facilitate doctor appointments, support teleconsultations and monitor treatment adherence from diagnosis to recovery.
The Sanjeevani platform will integrate services across multiple areas of public healthcare, including maternal and newborn health, child health, reproductive health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health, dental care, eye and ENT services, trauma care, palliative care, geriatric healthcare, diagnostics and free medicine distribution.
By consolidating health information generated under various government programmes, the platform aims to provide more coordinated care and enable timely clinical interventions for citizens across Andhra Pradesh.
