AIG Hospitals to Unveil Advanced AI Solutions at India AI Impact Summit
The key focus of deliberation will center around leveraging AI-enabled applications in fatty liver disease management, monitoring nutrition in pregnancy, and streamlining Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR).
Leading multispeciality hospital, AIG Hospitals, is set to introduce a new suite of AI-enabled technologies at the India AI Impact Summit event to be held in Delhi.
As per reports, Dr. Rakesh Kalpala, Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at AIG Hospitals, will present a range of low-cost AI-driven medical technology solutions during the event session, scheduled for February 20 at Bharat Mandapam.
The session will focus on the practical use of AI in cases tailored for the Indian healthcare landscape.
The key focus of deliberation will include leveraging AI-enabled risk detection models and applications in fatty liver disease management, AI-powered digital tools for monitoring nutrition in pregnancy, and digital tools for streamlining Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) to enhance workflow efficiency.
Further, the session will explore the transition of AI from experimental pilots to impactful, system-wide healthcare solutions with emphasis on affordability, scalability, and evidence-based implementation.
Highlighting the significance of medical research, Dr. Kalpala said, “AI in healthcare cannot be driven solely by extrapolation from Western datasets. We need robust, Indian randomised controlled trials and locally validated data models to ensure accuracy, safety, and scalability. Indigenous evidence generation is critical for responsible AI deployment."
India cannot rely solely on the West for healthcare AI, he further added.
In addition to this, the presentation will also feature data and developments from a joint initiative conducted over the past couple of months by the Andhra Pradesh government, the AIM Foundation, and AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad.
This partnership seeks to build affordable, AI-powered healthcare solutions that align with national health priorities.
