Yashoda Medicity Signs Three-Year MoU with Kazakhstan’s Turkistan City for Healthcare Cooperation

The Turkistan Health Care Department will facilitate patient referrals and coordination and nominate healthcare professionals for training programmes. 

Yashoda Medicity has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkistan City, to establish a framework for cooperation in specialised medical care, patient referrals, healthcare training and knowledge exchange.

The agreement provides a pathway for patients from Turkistan requiring specialised treatment in India, while also creating opportunities for cross-border clinical consultations and healthcare professional development.

The MoU comes against the backdrop of expanding healthcare cooperation between India and Central Asia. Under the agreement, patients from Turkistan requiring complex interventions may be referred to Yashoda Medicity for specialised tertiary and quaternary care, including second opinions, teleconsultations and treatment planning.

The two sides will also explore coordination related to visas, appointments, and admissions, subject to applicable laws. Yashoda Medicity will designate a Nodal Officer to coordinate the process.

The agreement also covers healthcare professional training and knowledge exchange. Doctors, nurses and paramedical professionals from Turkistan may participate in short-and long-term training programmes, clinical observerships and fellowships. The parties will also exchange knowledge in areas including hospital management and quality systems.

The Turkistan Health Care Department will facilitate patient referrals and coordination and nominate healthcare professionals for training programmes. Yashoda Medicity will provide facilitation to department-referred patients, subject to availability.

The agreement also includes provisions related to patient confidentiality, data protection, medical ethics, and privacy standards. Its teleconsultation and treatment planning provisions are intended to facilitate clinical coordination between healthcare professionals in the two countries, subject to applicable regulations.
