Krsnaa Diagnostics Collaborates with Global Radiology AI Innovator AZmed
The collaboration will explore the use of AZmed’s Rayvolve AI suite across Krsnaa Diagnostics’ radiology operations with a focus on fracture detection and triage using X-rays.
Krsnaa Diagnostics has partnered with France-based medical imaging AI company AZmed to evaluate AI-assisted radiology solutions across its diagnostic operations in India.
The collaboration will explore the use of AZmed’s Rayvolve AI suite across Krsnaa Diagnostics’ radiology operations with a focus on fracture detection and triage using X-rays.
The initiative aims to assess how AI-assisted image analysis could support reporting workflows, improve operational efficiency, and expand reporting capacity as diagnostic volumes increase.
Commenting on the partnership, Yash Mutha, Managing Director, Krsnaa Diagnostics, said, “By integrating advanced AI technologies into our high-volume radiology operations, we aim to unlock operating leverage, enhance productivity, expand reporting capacity and build a more scalable operating model enabling Krsnaa to serve more patients with best-in-class technology at highly affordable prices.”
Krsnaa Diagnostics processes more than five million X-rays annually. Its network spans 19 states and union territories and includes more than 2,000 X-ray centres, over 190 CT and MRI centres, 212 pathology laboratories and more than 4,700 patient collection centres.
In addition, Krsnaa operates a teleradiology hub in Pune that it describes as the world’s first American College of Radiology (ACR)-accredited facility of its kind outside the United States.
The hub provides round-the-clock reporting to government hospitals, medical colleges and community health centres nationwide.
By exploring the integration of globally developed AI capabilities into its extensive diagnostic network, Krsnaa aims to create opportunities for improved operational productivity, greater utilisation of radiologist capacity and enhanced scalability as diagnostic volumes grow.
The potential operational benefits, however, will depend on the technology’s performance, its integration into existing systems and the outcomes of the evaluation.
Founded in Paris in 2018, AZmed develops AI software for medical imaging. Its Rayvolve suite is designed to assist with the analysis of radiological images, including X-ray-based fracture detection.
According to the company, its technology has analysed more than 15 million medical images globally.
Commenting on the development, Julien Vidal, CEO of AZmed, said, “India represents a significant opportunity for the advancement of AI-enabled radiology. Krsnaa Diagnostics’ extensive reach and reporting capabilities make it a valuable partner for bringing our leading AI solutions for medical imaging into high-volume diagnostic workflows. We look forward to working together to support radiologists, improve workflow efficiency, and advance diagnostic imaging practices.”
