Health Minister Nadda Launches AI-enabled eICU Command Centre at Yashoda Medicity

The system generates early alerts for clinical deterioration and facilitate timely interventions through round-the-clock specialist oversight.

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda has inaugurated the AI-enabled E ICU Command Centre at Yashoda Medicity, Ghaziabad.

The initiative aims to augment critical care capacity through technology-driven solutions by integrating AI with centralised monitoring systems to improve clinical outcomes and streamline intensive care management.

The AI-enabled eICU Command Centre connects the Base Command Centre at Yashoda Medicity with the ICU facility at MMG District Hospital, enabling AI-supported real-time monitoring of critically ill patients.

The system integrates hospital information systems and bedside devices into a centralized dashboard where AI-driven analytics support risk stratification, generate early alerts for clinical deterioration, and facilitate timely interventions through round-the-clock specialist oversight.

Addressing the gathering, the Health Minister commended Yashoda Medicity for delivering high-quality healthcare services across 65 specialities and for establishing a comprehensive multi-specialty ecosystem.

The Minister highlighted that AI-enabled healthcare ensures timely intervention, precision in diagnosis, and continuous real-time monitoring, which are critical in emergency and intensive care settings.

He noted that AI-supported ICUs provide early warnings in adverse clinical situations, enable better identification of high-risk cases, and assist clinicians with data-driven insights for improved decision-making.

Senior officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, representatives of Yashoda Medicity, medical professionals, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
