The proposed initiative included the enhancement of Yashoda Medicity’s AI-enabled E-ICU Command Centre by integrating ECG diagnostic data generated by GE Healthcare systems.
Yashoda Medicity has recently hosted a delegation from GE Healthcare and Wipro GE Healthcare to explore opportunities for advancing healthcare innovation and strengthening the partnership to enhance critical care delivery across India.
The meeting focused on leveraging digital technologies and artificial intelligence to expand access to advanced healthcare services across India.
The delegation included Catherine Estrampes, Chief Commercial & Growth Officer, GE Healthcare; Raghavendra Rao V.S., Chief Operating Officer, Distribution, Wipro GE Healthcare; and Ritu Maheshwari, Secretary, Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, alongside participation from Yasho Medicity, including Dr. P.N. Arora, Chairman and Managing Director, Yashoda Medicity; Dr. Upasana Arora, Managing Director, Yashoda Medicity; along with senior hospital leadership and clinicians.
A key focus of the discussions was GE Healthcare’s Make in India initiative and the shared commitment of both organizations to improve access to affordable, technology-enabled healthcare solutions.
The proposed initiative included the enhancement of Yashoda Medicity’s AI-enabled E-ICU Command Centre by integrating ECG diagnostic data generated by GE Healthcare systems.
Through the proposed system, ECG data of patients from various hospitals and health centres will be transferred to the central command centre of Yashoda Medicity directly in real time.
By enabling specialists with immediate access to patient information, the system is expected to support faster clinical assessment, timely identification of critical cases, and more effective coordination of care.
The integration is also expected to strengthen remote patient monitoring capabilities and facilitate timely clinical guidance in critical situations while improving patient outcomes.
In addition, the meeting focused on expanding the healthcare system based on the hub-and-spoke model.
Under this model, a central specialist centre is linked to several smaller hospitals and health institutions.
The system will enable patients living in remote areas to access the services of specialist doctors in metros.
As per the healthcare institution, the model is expected to improve the quality of health services in rural and backward areas
Commenting on the new development, Dr Upasana Arora, Managing Director, Yashoda Medicity, said, “It was a valuable interaction with the leadership of GE Healthcare and Wipro GE Healthcare. Our long-standing collaboration reflects a shared vision of advancing technology-led healthcare solutions that enhance clinical capabilities and improve access to high-quality care.”
