UiPath Rolls Out Agentic AI Suite to Modernise Healthcare Revenue Cycle Operations
The agentic AI capabilities are designed to streamline medical records review, prevent and resolve claim denials, and automate prior authorisation workflows.
The New York-based global software company, UiPath, has launched a new set of agentic AI solutions tailored for healthcare providers and payers, targeting some of the most resource-intensive administrative processes in revenue cycle management.
The agentic AI capabilities are designed to streamline medical records review, prevent and resolve claim denials, and automate prior authorisation workflows.
The company has positioned these offerings within its broader agentic automation platform, which connects data across fragmented systems and orchestrates multi-step administrative processes that typically span clinical, billing and payer environments.
According to UiPath, the structured output in medical summarization allows clinicians and reviewers to trace information back to source documents while significantly cutting review time.
“Since implementing the UiPath MRS solution, we've reduced the average summary review time from 70 minutes to six, a 90 per cent improvement. Our clinicians are spending more time on direct patient care and less time digging through documentation. The structured output and citations give us confidence in what we're reviewing,” said Benjamin Smith, Vice President of Technology, Medlitix.
A second agentic AI workflow addresses claim denial prevention and resolution. The system identifies root causes, triggers corrective steps and coordinates appeals across departments, seeking to standardise compliance and protect revenue.
The prior authorisation product automates eligibility checks, benefits validation, clinical rule mapping and status tracking.
“The opportunity for agentic transformation in healthcare is huge, and the stakes could not be any higher,” said Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer, UiPath. “Labor challenges, rising costs, increasing and complex regulations… all of these are a catalyst for fundamental change to the ultimate benefits of payers, providers, and patients. Our new agentic automation and orchestration offerings connect data across the enterprise, accelerate critical workflows, and remove the costly, time-consuming errors that create friction and delay results.”
“This was a fundamental decision to accelerate the transformation and the change we need to occur, allowing us to apply capabilities that are not inherent in healthcare the way we see it today. We’re focused on technologies, platforms, and other ways to augment the work and reduce the administrative burden for our clinicians and staff so that they can do what they do best—care for patients and support them accordingly,” said Biju Samkutty, Chief Operating Officer, International & Enterprise Automation, Mayo Clinic.
UiPath has partnered with Genzeon, an AI-driven healthcare technology firm selected by CMS for the Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction Model, to strengthen payer alignment and regulatory compliance.
The collaboration is intended to embed domain expertise into agentic AI agents operating in highly regulated settings.
