Surya Hospitals Appoints Dr Santy Sajan as Group CEO

In her new role, she will lead the Group’s strategic direction and next phase of development, with responsibility for growth, business performance, clinical quality, service excellence, and organisational transformation across its network.

In a move to strengthen its leadership team, India’s leading hospital chain for Women & Children, Surya Hospitals, has appointed Dr Santy Sajan as Group Chief Executive Officer.

In her new role, she will lead the Group’s strategic direction and next phase of development, with responsibility for growth, business performance, clinical quality, service excellence, and organisational transformation across its network.

Dr Sajan brings over thirty years of experience in healthcare leadership, hospital operations, strategic planning, and organisational transformation.

Her experience includes leadership roles in various leading healthcare organisations, including Apollo Hospitals, Aster DM Healthcare, Paras Healthcare, and Columbia Asia Hospitals.

Commenting on her new role, Dr Santy Sajan, Group CEO, Surya Hospitals, said, “ Our priorities will be sustainable growth, clinical and operational excellence, thoughtful use of digital technologies and a consistently high-quality patient experience. We will also continue to invest in our people, academics, training, research, and innovation to strengthen our institutions and advance specialised care.”

Prior to joining Surya Hospitals, she served as Group CEO of Sabine Hospitals. Across these organisations, she has contributed to healthcare operations, institution-building, and performance improvement.

At Surya Hospitals, Dr Sajan's focus areas will include strengthening operational capabilities, supporting the Group’s expansion plans, developing high-performing teams, and enhancing clinical and service delivery.

She will also oversee initiatives related to digital enablement and data-led decision-making, while supporting specialised clinical programmes and the Group’s work in academics, training, research, and innovation.

Quality, safety, and patient-centred care will remain central to the Group’s approach.

Founded in 1984, Surya Hospitals specialises in healthcare services for women and children, with a focus on obstetrics and gynaecology, maternity care, neonatology and paediatrics. Over the years, the group has expanded its presence across Mumbai, Pune and Jaipur, building a network of hospitals offering specialised clinical services.

Its current listed network includes five hospitals across Santacruz and Chembur in Mumbai, Wakad and Bhumkar Chowk in Pune, and Jaipur, along with a superspeciality clinic in Pune.

Its services include neonatal and paediatric intensive care, fertility and IVF, paediatric cardiology, neurology, nephrology, oncology and surgery, alongside other women's and children's healthcare services.
