The Cardiac Laser Treatment offers a minimally invasive, stent-less procedure that minimizes risks compared to traditional approaches. It is designed for metal-less angioplasty and aims to improve outcomes for younger patients experiencing heart attacks.
Sahyadri Hospital has introduced a new laser technology specifically designed for cardiac patients, marking a first for Maharashtra.
Abrarali Dalal, MD and CEO of Sahyadri Hospitals, made the announcement on LinkedIn, accompanied by a video featuring brand ambassador Anil Kapoor.
The Cardiac Laser Treatment offers a minimally invasive, stent-less procedure that minimizes risks compared to traditional approaches. It is designed for metal-less angioplasty and aims to improve outcomes for younger patients experiencing heart attacks.
This technology addresses various types of blockages with enhanced precision and is also reported to be beneficial for patients undergoing other surgical procedures.
The introduction of this treatment comes in response to rising heart attack rates in India. Cardiac arrest cases saw a 12.5% increase in reported cases in 2022. A significant portion of these fatalities affects younger individuals, particularly those aged 30 to 60, who accounted for 70% of heart attack deaths in 2021.
In December, Sahyadri Group of Hospitals introduced Maharashtra's first AI-Powered Health Command Centre in partnership with Dozee, a pioneer in remote patient monitoring technology.
The AI-enabled Health Command Center monitors vital parameters such as heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, SPO2 levels, temperature, and ECG, detecting early signs of clinical deterioration.
