Ambani Bets Big on AI with Jio Arogya Launch & INR 10 Lakh Cr Push
In a separate address, Ambani also announced that Reliance will invest Rs 10 lakh crore over the next seven years.
At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh D. Ambani announced Jio Arogya AI, describing it as a system that will provide “first medical guidance in under five minutes in local languages on any phone.''
Ambani outlined a series of AI native products being developed by Reliance Intelligence. These include
- Jio Shikshak is described as an AI teaching assistant in 22 languages.
- Jio Frames, which he said will be an AI-glass device and next-generation AI devices, will make intelligence truly ambient, as effortless and natural as human conversation.
- Jio Krishi is an app that converts satellite imagery and precision weather data into simple voice-first advice for 140 million farmers, helping improve their everyday lives.
- Jio Bharat IQ, a voice-first AI companion helping Indians learn, earn, and access government services at Bharat-scale, from villages to fully connected homes.
- Jio Arogya AI is an AI-based clinic system designed for primary healthcare screening.
Reliance presented Jio Arogya AI as an AI-based clinic system designed for primary healthcare screening. The company said the system can screen key health parameters within minutes, analyse potential risks, and recommend specialist referrals when needed.
It includes an AI diagnostic kiosk described as a smart mirror, which can scan eyes and skin to generate an initial health assessment. Patients can also interact with a voice-based AI doctor that communicates in multiple major Indian languages.
According to Reliance, the system categorises patients by risk level and prioritises urgent cases for doctor referrals, adding that ''treatment always remains under a doctor’s supervision.”
The system also includes portable X-ray and electrocardiography services, online consultations and medicine ordering.
In a separate address, Ambani also announced that Reliance will invest Rs 10 lakh crore over the next seven years.
“This is not a speculative investment. It is not a purchasing valuation. This is patient, disciplined, nation-building capital designed to create durable economic value and strategic resilience for decades to come,” he said.
He added that construction has begun on multi-gigawatt, AI-ready data centres in Jamnagar, with over 120 megawatts expected to come online in the second half of 2026 and a path to gigawatt-scale compute for training and large-scale inference.
Speaking about network integration, Ambani said, “India cannot afford to rent intelligence. Therefore, we will reduce the cost of intelligence as dramatically as we did the cost of data.”
“An edge compute layer deeply integrated with Jio’s network will make intelligence responsive, low-latency, and affordable, close to where Indians live, learn, and work,” he added.
