Prataprao Jadhav Launches DRAVYA Portal & AI Health Campaign

The tool provides structured clinical pathways to combine Ayurvedic support with conventional oncology.

Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Prataprao Jadhav placed technology and research at the heart of Ayurveda’s future, launching the DRAVYA portal and a nationwide AI-ready health campaign at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, as part of the 10th National Ayurveda Day celebrations.

The DRAVYA portal (Digitized Retrieval Application for Versatile Yardstick of AYUSH Substances) is a centralised digital repository cataloguing medicinal substances in Ayurveda.

Officials said it will serve as a digital reference library, enabling researchers, clinicians, and regulators to access authenticated information and build evidence-based protocols.

Complementing the portal, the minister rolled out “Desh ka Swasthya Parikshan,” a nationwide health campaign using the CCRAS Health Assessment Scale to collect wellness data.

The initiative will feed into an AI-ready national health database, helping policymakers strengthen preventive and integrative healthcare strategies.

Among the scientific releases was an algorithm for integrative management of leukemia, produced by the Centre for Integrative Oncology.

The tool provides structured clinical pathways to combine Ayurvedic support with conventional oncology, reflecting AYUSH’s growing emphasis on digital protocols and clinical algorithms.

“This year’s theme reflects the Ministry’s commitment to positioning Ayurveda not only as a healthcare science but also as a framework for planetary health and sustainability,” said Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State for AYUSH.

Supporting the tech initiatives, AIIA Goa also launched platforms highlighting Ayurveda achievers, and released publications on PCOS management and Ayurvedic wound healing studies.

Additional infrastructure inaugurated included the Integrative Oncology Unit, a Blood Storage Unit, and a Central Sterile Supply Department, alongside the biodiversity-focused Ran-Bhaji Utsav.

Whereas Goa is at the forefront of integrating digital innovation into Ayurveda, Kerala is also celebrating the day with a major push for AYUSH projects.

The state government, under Health Minister Veena George, unveiled 12 projects worth INR 14.39 Cr, aimed at improving access, digital integration, and specialty care.

Key initiatives include Suthikamitram, a scientific training program for women on prenatal and postnatal Ayurvedic care, and Supraja, a maternal and child health program.

Kerala also launched an e-hospital system covering 240 AYUSH institutions, the AYUSH Yoga Club App to promote wellness, and specialty clinics targeting non-communicable diseases, infertility, and lifestyle disorders.

Officials highlighted these projects as part of the state’s broader strategy to digitize AYUSH services, enhance healthcare delivery, and integrate preventive care with technology.

Together, the initiatives in Goa and Kerala showcase Ayurveda Day 2025 as a platform for combining traditional knowledge with modern technology, research, and community-focused health interventions.
