PM Modi to Unveil 650-bed Hospital Facility at Sathya Sai Gram in Bengaluru

The hospital will operate under the initiative “Sri Dil, No Bill,” which means there is no billing desk aimed at extending the free-healthcare model of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Health Mission.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 650-bed hospital at Sathya Sai Gram in Bengaluru, marking the 100th birth anniversary of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The hospital will operate under the initiative “Sri Dil, No Bill,” which means there is no billing desk aimed at extending the free-healthcare model of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Health Mission.

Presently, the hospital runs a 350-bed hospital that serves around 37,000 patients every month. Due to rising patient load, the decision was taken to expand with the 650-bed facility, equipped with advanced medical infrastructure.

Reportedly, an official invitation has been sent to PM Modi, and confirmation of his availability is awaited.

Commenting on this, Suchethan Reddy Kotta, CEO and Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai Gram Global Media Outreach and Communication, said, “We are confident that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed hospital during the centenary celebrations.”

The Sri Sathya Sai Global Health Mission, established by Madhusudan Sai, operates under the “One World One Family Mission” initiative. The organization is guided by two central principles aimed at establishing hospitals without billing desks and offering free medical education to students from rural areas.

The initiative is designed to make healthcare and education accessible to all, irrespective of socio-economic background.

Currently, the hospital trusts numerous facilities in India beyond the Bengaluru facility, including the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centres for Child Heart Care located in Nava Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Palwal (Haryana), Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra), Siddipet (Telangana), and Muddenahalli (Karnataka).

Further, it also operates Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Mother and Child Hospitals in Yavatmal, Jamshedpur, Palwal, Nava Raipur, and Raiwala.

Additionally, the Mission also operates outside India, which includes Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital in Suva, Fiji, the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, as well as the Aruike Specialty Hospitals in Enugu and Imo, Nigeria, and the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical Centre in Clarksdale, USA.

As per reports, the initiative has provided over 4.4 million outpatient consultations, 140,000 inpatient treatments, 68,000 surgeries, 687,000 outreach screenings, and 37,000 children treated for congenital heart defects to date.
