Medical Care Technologies Launches Groundbreaking AI Tool for Early Detection of Melanoma

The AI tool uses deep learning models trained on millions of dermatoscopic and clinical images to evaluate melanoma risk factors

Arizona-based healthcare company, Medical Care Technologies, has unveiled a new AI-powered diagnostic system for early melanoma detection.

A major advancement towards preventive healthcare, this AI-driven tool aims at supporting dermatologists in identifying skin cancer at its earliest stages.

The AI tool uses deep learning models trained on millions of dermatoscopic and clinical images to evaluate melanoma risk factors such as asymmetry in skin lesions, irregular borders, subtle color variations, diameter changes, and monitoring of the evolution of the lesion over time.

By creating a long-term profile of every mole and lesion, it detects anomalies early and suggests timely triage, transforming routine skin checks into an effective early-warning tool for clinicians and patients.

"Melanoma's danger lies in its ability to grow undetected until it's too late," said Marshall Perkins, CEO of MDCE.

"Our AI technology brings an AI-powered diagnostic tool into the home, empowering patients and clinicians with earlier, more precise insights that can save lives.”
