The programme is being conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in association with UK government bodies. It is aimed at HealthTech startups, along with participation from innovators, policymakers, healthcare experts, investors, and industry leaders from both countries.

The accelerator will run as a three-day programme designed to bring together key stakeholders from India and the UK. It aims to enable collaboration, knowledge exchange, and discussions around healthcare technology and innovation.

As part of the programme, 25 HealthTech companies from across India will be selected to participate in the fully funded accelerator. These companies will take part in structured sessions, including mentorship, workshops, and interactions with experts and industry stakeholders.

Among the selected participants, six companies will be given an opportunity to attend a fully funded immersion visit to the United Kingdom. This visit is intended to provide direct exposure to the UK healthcare ecosystem and allow engagement with industry stakeholders.

The programme is structured to support startups in understanding different healthcare systems and regulatory environments. It also provides access to networks that can help in refining solutions and exploring market opportunities in both regions.

In addition to startup participation, the initiative creates a platform for exchange between institutions and experts from India and the UK. This includes sharing knowledge, experiences, and approaches related to digital health.

The UK–India HealthTech Accelerator Programme is a joint initiative that brings together multiple stakeholders to support HealthTech startups and facilitate cross-border collaboration in healthcare technology.
