Labcorp has launched MyLabcorp, an AI-powered mobile application designed to help consumers understand laboratory test results, monitor health trends over time, and access personalized health information through a single platform.
The app combines lab results, educational resources, appointment management, billing access, and AI-enabled tools within a HIPAA-compliant mobile experience.
According to Labcorp, MyLabcorp uses OpenAI’s advanced reasoning models to provide users with conversational explanations of their lab results and broader health context based on available diagnostic data. The company said the platform is intended to support more informed discussions between patients and healthcare providers.
The launch comes as consumer interest in AI-driven healthcare tools continues to grow. Labcorp cited findings from its internal survey showing that 55% of consumers consider AI important for understanding healthcare information. In comparison, 41% already use AI tools to interpret lab results, and 35% use them to understand test ranges.
The company said existing AI tools often provide isolated responses without integrating broader clinical context. MyLabcorp aims to address that limitation by linking diagnostic data with guideline-based educational content and longitudinal health tracking.
The application allows users to view Labcorp test results in a mobile-friendly format and track changes over time. Users can also interact with an AI assistant to receive explanations about results, lifestyle considerations, and potential health patterns.
Additional features include appointment scheduling, patient service center location tools, test purchasing, billing management, and access to clinically reviewed content focused on areas such as cardiometabolic health, kidney function, digestion, sexual health, and mental health.
“Consumers are increasingly turning to AI to help them make sense of their health, but trust and clinical context matter,” said Amy Summy, EVP and chief marketing officer at Labcorp.
The company stated that all AI-enabled functions operate within a secure and compliant environment designed to protect personal health information.
Bola Oyegunwa, Ph.D., EVP and chief information and technology officer at Labcorp, said the company is continuing to invest in AI and advanced technologies to make diagnostic insights more accessible and actionable for consumers.
MyLabcorp is part of a broader trend among healthcare and diagnostics companies adopting generative AI tools to improve patient engagement, result interpretation, and digital health experiences.
