Park Medi World Acquires Medicity Hospital in Uttarakhand for INR 177 Cr

According to an exchange filing, Park Medi World signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% stake in the multi-specialty hospital as part of its strategy to expand its healthcare footprint across North India.
Park Medi World Limited has acquired The Medicity Hospital in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately INR 177 crore, marking the company’s entry into the Uttarakhand healthcare market.
According to an exchange filing, Park Medi World signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% stake in the multi-specialty hospital as part of its strategy to expand its healthcare footprint across North India.
Located in Rudrapur, The Medicity Hospital has a capacity of 330 beds and is among the NABH-accredited hospitals in the Kumaon region. The facility is spread across nearly 7,000 square meters of land and includes approximately 1.64 lakh square feet of covered area.
The company said the acquisition is aimed at strengthening its presence in underserved healthcare markets while increasing operational scale across regions. Following the acquisition, Park Medi World plans to enhance clinical services and improve operational efficiency at the hospital.
The hospital currently provides treatment across multiple medical specialties and is equipped with modern healthcare infrastructure.
Park Medi World said the transaction is expected to contribute to its financial performance through improved bed utilization, expansion of healthcare services, and operational integration over the medium to long term.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director Ankit Gupta said the company is pursuing expansion opportunities in strategically important healthcare markets across North India.
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone in our strategic journey to build a pan-North India healthcare network,” Gupta said in a statement.
He added that the hospital’s location in the Kumaon region and its existing infrastructure were among the key factors behind the acquisition decision.
The company stated that the transaction aligns with its long-term expansion strategy focused on improving healthcare access and strengthening regional operations through acquisitions and integration.
With the acquisition, Park Medi World will now have a presence across six states, further expanding its hospital network in North India.
