Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Unveils 1,200-Bed Hospital In Shirpur

The newly launched facility, developed by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), is intended to serve as a regional healthcare hub for patients from Maharashtra, as well as neighbouring Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has inaugurated a 1,200-bed multi-speciality hospital in Shirpur, Dhule district.

The newly launched facility, developed by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), is intended to serve as a regional healthcare hub for patients from Maharashtra, as well as neighbouring Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Named Tapanbai Mukushbhai Patel Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, the facility is expected to provide advanced medical care, particularly for underserved and tribal populations across Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, and Nashik, where access to advanced healthcare remains limited.

The institution has adopted an “equal treatment for all” approach, enabling access to cashless healthcare for economically weaker sections, alongside advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

In addition to the inauguration, the CM has outlined broader development initiatives in Shirpur, including investments worth approximately INR 40,000 crore to support industrial growth and regional development in the Dhule district.

Further, he highlighted Shirpur’s integrated development model, where parallel investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure are contributing to skill creation and employment generation.
