The initiative seeks to improve healthcare treatment outcomes and support more personalized treatment approaches by leveraging genomic information to tailor treatments to individual patient needs and unique genetic profiles.

Mumbai-based multispecialty hospital Jupiter Hospital has partnered with MedGenome Labs to introduce Jupiter–MedGenome Genomics Lab, an initiative aimed at expanding access to advanced genomic testing and supporting precision medicine initiatives.

The collaboration is designed to bring advanced genomic testing closer to patients and clinicians in the region, enabling more precise diagnoses, personalised treatment plans, and informed clinical decisions.

The genomics laboratory is expected to support a range of applications, including disease diagnosis, risk assessment, treatment selection, and personalized care planning.

Through the collaboration with MedGenome, the healthcare organisation aims to strengthen its technology-driven healthcare offering and expand access to diagnostic services.

The initiative seeks to improve healthcare treatment outcomes and support more personalized treatment approaches by leveraging genomic information to tailor treatments to individual patient needs and unique genetic profiles.

Speaking on the partnership, Dr. Avi Nahar, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Senior Vice President of Sales of MedGenome Labs, said, “Jupiter-MedGenome Genomics Lab marks a shift from genomics-as-referral to genomics-as-infrastructure. On-site NGS capability means oncology panels, rare disease exomes, and prenatal testing feed directly into clinical decision-making, cutting turnaround time and reducing the friction between a genetic finding and a treatment change.”

He further added, “For clinicians, that means variant-level insight informing therapy selection in real time, not weeks later. Proud to be building this with the Jupiter Hospitals team.”

In an earlier development, Medcare Diagnostics, part of MedGenome’s integrated diagnostics ecosystem, launched a new imaging and nuclear medicine centre in Navi Mumbai.

The expansion is intended to strengthen integrated diagnostic capabilities by combining imaging, nuclear medicine, and genomic diagnostics services within a broader clinical diagnostics framework.

With the latest collaboration, the diagnostic chain further aims to strengthen its genomic diagnostic presence in Western India while supporting the wider adoption of precision medicine across healthcare settings.
