The companies said the collaboration is aimed at broadening access to advanced diagnostics and imaging services across suburban areas, including Nalasopara, Vasai, Virar, and Thane.

MedGenome has made a majority investment in Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre (SDRC), strengthening its diagnostics presence across Mumbai’s extended western suburbs and expanding access to integrated diagnostic services in the region.

The companies said the collaboration is aimed at broadening access to advanced diagnostics and imaging services across suburban areas, including Nalasopara, Vasai, Virar, and Thane.

Founded in 1995, SDRC operates five diagnostic centers across the Mumbai metropolitan region and has built a presence in diagnostic imaging over the past three decades. The company is led by Dr. Ajit Pungavkar and Dr. Sona Pungavkar.

SDRC’s services include MRI, CT scans, X-ray, sonography, mammography, cardiac investigations, bone mineral density testing, and interventional diagnostics. Its infrastructure includes four MRI systems and five CT systems across its network.

The investment marks a strategic expansion for MedGenome, which focuses on genomics-driven diagnostics and research services. Through the transaction, the company is expected to strengthen its footprint in Mumbai’s suburban healthcare market while expanding access to diagnostic infrastructure beyond Greater Mumbai.

SDRC serves patients through walk-in diagnostics, home collection services, and partnerships with hospitals and laboratories. The company said its operations follow an integrated “all-under-one-roof” diagnostics model.

The diagnostic network has developed a referral base across hospitals and clinicians in the Naigaon–Palghar and Thane belt, regions where access to advanced imaging infrastructure has historically been limited.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.

MedGenome has been expanding its diagnostics capabilities across genomics, pathology, and precision medicine services in India and international markets. The latest investment adds imaging and radiology capabilities to its broader diagnostics ecosystem.

SDRC said its reporting and analytical expertise, combined with long-term clinical partnerships in suburban markets, have contributed to sustained patient volumes and regional clinician trust.
